About LisaI’m running to be your State Representative because you deserve a strong and independent voice at the State House.
Partisan politics isn't working. We need smart solutions and a Representative who will tackle corruption, fight to create more jobs, and stand up for children and working families. Please do not hesitate to contact me at 401.965.2719 or [email protected] with any questions you have. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Born and raised in Rhode Island. I cherish the community in which all of us live, work, and grow. I never saw myself as someone who would get involved in the political world. But, after having 3 boys and witnessing first-hand the struggles facing our students, parents, teachers and schools, I knew I had to do something. I joined our PTA and began advocating for more opportunities for students. Then, I ran for School Committee so that changes could be made to all of our schools. I decided to run for State Representative in 2010 because education funding and policy is largely determined at the State House and I wanted to make a difference. Now, I want to go back and fight for the values that really matter: preserving opportunities for those who work hard and play by the rules. I want to unite our neighbors together and improve our quality of life by advocating for more jobs, a stronger education system and the preservation of our open space. Together, we can make Rhode Island a better place to live, work and retire. EXPERIENCE
